Glow up your skin!

Apparently the temperature is climbing to the high 20's later this week so I thought I'd share with you some amazing body scrubs you can make with simple staples from your pantry. These scrubs will exfoliate, moisturise and polish your skin so it is glowing in time for the beach weather!

The beauty of making your own is that you can carefully select the ingredients and know exactly what is in your body scrub. It's also super cheap, many of the coffee scrubs on the market sell for three times or more than the cost of making your own.

Many store bought personal care products contain synthetic chemicals that mess with our bodies, in particular, our endocrine system (hormones)

If you are curious about this simply Google "synthetic fragrance" and "xenoestrogens".

To better help you understand what may be in the products you are using on your face and body, do yourself a favour and download the super useful App called "Ingred" . It allows you to simply take a photo of the ingredients in your product and the App will then indicate whether the ingredients are safe to use or otherwise!

60% of what goes on your skin ends up in your bloodstream!

I really hope you enjoy these simple recipes. If you would like to purchase the essential oils to make them please click here:

¼ cup fractionated coconut oil

5 drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil (or essential oil of your choice)

Did you know that coffee promotes circulation and may help with those lumpy areas often found on our thighs!
